Overview

The Archive Material Handler will receive, index, store, and maintain materials submitted to the archive. This role will perform disposition of archived items including return and destruction of archived items while communicating and providing document to clients.

Responsibilities

  • Document the return or destruction of samples/materials on applicable systems and records
  • Unpack and examine samples/materials received and verify against packing slips
  • Complete and maintain chain of custody documentation
  • Identify items from storage shelves or rooms using labels, barcodes, serial numbers, etc.
  • Prepare out-going shipments with documentation, packing materials, and coordinate courier deliveries
  • Submit documents as required to support invoicing
  • Perform archive inventory and index system verifications
  • Communicate and coordinate archive item next actions with clients
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly archive
  • Maintain stock of supplies
  • Document all GLP and process training, provide a CV, and ensure training file is kept current
  • Demonstrate an understanding of SOPs and Good Laboratory Practice Regulations (21CFR, Part 58) as they relate to study specific services provided, this job description and general facility operations

Qualifications

  • High school diploma and 1 or more years of archive or warehouse experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Effectively work with peers, leadership and stakeholders
  • Ability to understand and comply with confidentiality and privacy rules while protecting company property and confidential information

 

*This position could be offered at different levels for candidates who qualify with a combination of advanced levels of education and/or years of experience.  The salary range will adjust along with the level of the role to match the person’s relevant experience and/or education level.
