Overview

The Accounts Receivable Specialist will support the Inotiv team by performing collections for D365 and JDE and Quickbooks, supporting SOX guidelines and assisting in special projects as assigned.  We are currently undergoing a large finance transformation, which this position will be included.  The ability and openness to adapt to change is an absolute must!

Responsibilities

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Comply with SOX controls
  • Maintain confidential information
  • Interact with internal and external customers
  • Support and participate in other company initiatives as directed by senior management
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Review and send invoices to customers daily.
  • Review and contact past due accounts.
  • Update the AR Aging report with activity notes.
  • Maintain collection tracking spreadsheets.
  • Update customer accounts with new information about company name, address, or term changes.
  • Notify customer when credit limit has been exceeded for a payment status.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and provide resolution.
  • Work in 3 ERP systems: D365, Quickbooks and JD Edwards

Qualifications

Position Requirements

Education and experience

  • Bachelor's or Associates degree preferred.
  • High School Diploma and/or GED plus 1-3 years experience will be considered.


Skills and abilities

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn other accounting software systems.
  • Must be highly skilled in Excel using Vlookups, Pivot tables and other normal finance functions utilized for analytics
  • Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail.
  • Analytical skills
  • Adapts quickly to change - the only thing that is constant in Shared Services is change!
  • Ability to maintain confidential information and meticulous records.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication.
  • Thrives in a fast paced environment and adaptable to change

 

*This position could be offered at different levels for candidates who qualify with a combination of advanced levels of education and/or years of experience.  The salary range will adjust along with the level of the role to match the person’s relevant experience and/or education level.
